Nationalism : Elite Vs Ordinary
Nationalism , a feeling that nation should govern itself, free from outside interference, self sustainable & powerful to mediate for world peace. That’s how I define & dream of my nationalism.
I grown up in a village where literacy rate is quite high and the dream of Government jobs among youth was very common, later for any job(Govt or Private sector). Things have changed in my Village as well as in my state. My state(Haryana) unemployment rate is highest in Country right now.
Instead of jobs, growth and education, now ordinary people are focusing on Nationalism, ordinary nationalism. The politician & bureaucracy in India work in similar fashion as of Kingdom times. These people are working as Kings now. This article is a very simple comparison of Elite nationalism vs Ordinary Nationalism. Elite include politicians, powerful businessmen and corrupt public servants. Ordinary include farmers, daily wage workers, salaried , self employed and small businessmen.
Comparison is very simple, what these people want , what they get. The wish/will is common for both, it’s simply peace, growth, better opportunity, better education for family & social security.
Britishers used divide and rule to rule India. Same rule is followed by Elite class now. They will divide ordinary people in the name of religion, color, cast, language, party, region, surname. But that’s for sure, they will divide, because once ordinary people divide, they don’t ask for growth , development or education, they just need victory. Victory of their side. No one care , if this victory is actually a Victory or loss, loss for generations.
